TOPIC: Two New Templates

Re: Two New Templates 14 years 8 months ago #19414

Yes you have to save the file in the Data Folder of HIP.  Then you can open HIP then open the template.

As for your other question, I don't remember how to do all that.  I'll have to go back and look at the tutorial.

I have looked at that tutorial many times and still confused with that sample document for a file entry.
I am trying to put a document ahead of the roof section. Once I can do that, then I can do the same to all other sections.

This is all coming from my own hand made template I have been using up till now. All done on word. Took me four months to put it together.  :)

Thanks Bob, I did get to step four, got the document pasted, inserted drop down menu to Roof, and then what, I don't have a preview button.

I hit generate report, give it a title, but when I open it. Nothing there.

I'll never get this thing to work.  :)

John, I liked your report, but how it ended up to only 13 pages compared to my last one of 48 is beyond me.
I guess, I need to keep working on improving to use this.

Nice work.  :)

Look at my last picture and see where it says do not include?
Click that box and change it to include and pic the section it should go to.

Very nice Bob, thanks. Karma for you!

Marcel, you're missing the last step Bob mentioned. Select the section the document is supposed to appear before then check the box to include it on the same page.

You can view John's PDF's which he posted after the Template TPZ files. The PDF's allow you to see what a sample inspection using the template would look like.

John, it's all about the number of photos. I think it was David Andersen that long ago sent me a 98 page report of a 1902 home for an out of state client. It was a mess and loaded with photos.
