TOPIC: Virus detected by AVG

I keep getting this virus detection on my resident shield on AVG.

The infection is this- Trojan horse Crypt_c.BDY
File is this- c:\WINDOWS\system32\iphlpapil.dll

I know there is a file c:\WINDOWS\system32\iphlpapi.dll that should be on the computer and I am afraid to remove the file that is infected even though it has an extra (l) in the name.

I ran both through the AVG website and it can't find it there. Google search does not show anything either.

How do I run them in safe mode? Will there be a list to pick from? Do you know anything about the virus?

I ran them in safe mode. But I did not get anything telling me it was found or removed. But, I can not find the file anymore, maybe that is a good sign.

It is still being detected by AVG. Does anyone know anything about this trojan? I can't seem to find any info. I do have some additional info. The process is C:\windows\system32\wbem\wmiprvse.exe

www.liutilities.com/products/wintaskspro...esslibrary/wmiprvse/ shows that' it's a needed Windows file. Is it giving you the name of the Trojan?
