TOPIC: Editing Documents

Editing Documents 12 years 2 weeks ago #48285

When I upgraded my HIP version I did not realize that all my documents would be lost. I have put them back in my template, but I am having trouble with the document for my Summary Page.

I want the document to show before the Summary Page. I selected "Include Document In Current Template Before Section: Summary" I left the box below unchecked because I want the document to show before the Summary Page and not on it.

The problem is that when I leave the box unchecked, it places the document at the beginning of the report and not before the Summary Page. I had it the way I wanted it on my previous template, but I cannot remember how in the heck I did it.

Any thoughts?  :P

Also none of the space formatting is when I produce a report. I copied the text to notepad and then into the HIP editor, but I cannot get the spacing to work.

You definitely don't lose your docs when updating. Sounds like you installed to a different directory. The HIP updater doesn't delete files at all.

Is your summary at the front or end of the report?

Sounds like you still have code pasted from Word. Look for a 2nd copy of HIP installed.

Dom you are right of course. I completely forgot that I moved my data folder.

Yes, my summary is at the end. I can include the document on the summary page, but if I pick to show before the summary page it goes to the front of the report. I have print at the end selected under options. I am sure this is something I did to myself as well I just cant figure out what I did.

Create a new page under Edit Template and assign the document to that page.
