TOPIC: bad deal

I have had good luck up until today with the ctl2go/ HIP combo.  My second inspection I opened up the default program, Doug C. with the Canadian template which I have spent hundreds of hours perfecting but it loaded the original format ( before I did any modifying to the program  ).  It appears all my comments I typed and wrote in are gone!  Any idea where they may have went to?

After spending some time in the fetal position sucking my thumb I continued on with the inspection having to add all the comments previously stored in the system to the inspection report.  Anybody have this trouble and is there any chance of recovery?

Also wanted to add that I subscribe to carbonite (online backup).  I could not find any files related to HIP except a few that were exe. files with only 2mb.  Shouldnt all the files, including HIP with all the added comments be backed up online somewhere?  I did a system restore back to april 22 even though my first inspection went fine today but all comments were still gone.  I thought restoring back to april 22 would put the system back to that day when all comments were still intact.  Just some more info if someone can offer some advice.

Open up your last inspection and see if it has all your narratives. If it does hit save template and save over your template and it will all be recovered as the template is within each inspection. When you save, also check the save as default so it auto opens to that template in the future.

The problem is you saved the default templte over yours.

Thanks Dominic.  I had done that before I had gotten back on to check my emails.  I did not know it was that easy and I was really just guessing.  I did not know i had clicked the wrong button but it seems when I am in a hurry the touch pad seems REALLY sensative.  I know I can adjust the setting but I will just have to be more careful.

Thanks- your customer service is unmatched by anybody else.  My business has increased substantially due to the software and coupled with the tax credit I am working 7 days, 2 or 3 inspections per day.  I am really burned out but am grateful to be so busy.
