TOPIC: batch photos on mac - portrait to landscape

batch photos on mac - portrait to landscape 14 years 1 month ago #30577

Just moved from PC to Mac and the difference is amazing!!

I have had one issue with batch adding photos - when I add the photos, it adds all of them in portrait. If I have changed them in the folder to landscape, it still adds them as a portrait photo. Any advice?

Thanks

I haven't heard of that. I'm guessing the program you're rotating them in is not saving them but just temporarily rotating for viewing. HIP just imports them as is. See if there's a save function in the program you're using to rotate (I'm assuming iphoto).

I just checked and it still batches everything as portrait, but the good news is that I just noticed I can rotate the photo in the photo editing section of HIP!

You definitely can, but that's ridiculous to do them all 1 by 1. Do you see your camera card on the desktop when you connect the camera? If you open a picture what format is it in? HIP is going to go off the original format. Import it on the windows machine and see what direction it's in.

Oh, post a picture here too. That would help!
