TOPIC: Windows 7 problem

I am updating to a new computer with windows 7.  I installed the Home Inspector Pro software.  When I start the program I recieve the error message "An error occurred while starting the application."

Did anyone else have this problem?  Is their a fix?

I haven't seen anyone else with the problem and installed the program on quite a few Windows 7 machines this week during the ASHI convention. Sounds like the install went bad at some point. Download the latest version again and install the program. It will replace any files that might be corrupt. Let me know how it goes.

Casey, I have this issue occasionally.

I need to close out of program, restart computer and then it loads properly.

I think that's a different issue Dave. On older computers if the program takes more than 60 seconds to open (possible if you have other things open) then that pops open but the program runs fine. On a new Windows 7 machine, I'm guessing he's got a corrupt file.

Downloaded a new copy and reinstalled it.  Everything is working now.
