Ah, I thought I was forgetting something, thanks Ron!  I was working on the ads during the Vikings horrible game...ack...

I think we will all agree that the HIP reports are the most proffessional lookig reports in the industry so why not use the reports as a marketing tool. I can tell you it works, i just wish i would have thought of this myself.
As part of my inspection service i provide the client with a bound hard copy of the inspection report as well as the e-mailed version. I use a 3 ring binder and insert the pages of the report into clear page protectors with the cover page of the report inserted into the clear cover of the binder.
Anyway on Monday i finally had a realtor from an office i have been targeting (36 agents in office) give me a referral for an out of state client who is purchasing locally. The inspection field work was done on tuesday and the e-mailed report went out tuesday nite. The client called on wed. morning and asked if i would mind dropping off the hard copy of the report at the Realtors office and that she would pick it up when she arrived in town and of course i obliged. Thursday morning the agent called me directly to say that she had shown the report to some of the other agents in the office and how impressed they were with the report. It is now 11:00 am on friday and i have booked 3 inspections for next week on referrals from that office ($1500) in business ($5.75) cost to bind report.
From this day forward if the client wants their agent to recieve a copy of the report It aint gonna be e-mailed It will be bound and delivered to the agents office. Hoping this will be a trend. Let our inspection report serve as Passive Advertising
