Hi Guys,
I'll keep this short for now as it's after 2am and I have a flight to the Mike Crow conference in Texas in a few hours. I'll add more notes later.
HIP 3.5 Beta for Windows is done. I'll make the Mac version when I get back from the conference. You can download this version by logging into this site and clicking on Home Inspector Pro Downloads on the left side of the home page (no longer beta so not posting link). If you have any problems with this BETA (as in not fully tested) version simply install the latest version from the Home Inspector Pro Downloads link on our home page OVER this copy and you'll be good to go.
I've included notes back to 3.4 for those not following along closely!

New Feature: Option added to show a horizonal line inbetween section items under Report Settings->Item Name Format. Works best with transparent background.

New Feature: Merge Inspection! Go to File->Import/Merge Another Inspection to merge multiple inspections together. You can repeat this multiple times to import as many inspections as you want into one. If a section already exists in the original inspection then the comments will be merged together. If the section doesn't exist, it will be added. This means you can give one inspector a template with JUST electrical, another with just plumbing, another with just structure, etc and they will all merge together. Or, you could give everyone a full house template and they will still all merge together. Ratings from the inspection being merged into the original will only be merged in if the original inspection doesn't have any ratings. In other words, the original inspections ratings will remain if they exist, if not ratings will be copied in.
New Feature: Pre-Start inspections. The merge feature also allows you to have pre-started inspections. Go through an setup an inspection as you want and then save it. Then when you want to use it you can 'Merge' it into a fresh inspection template.
New Feature: Option added to right click to add word to spell check. A little faster than hitting F7. More spell check changes coming soon.
Bug Fix: False errors when submitting recallchek reports has been fixed.
Bug Fix: Password field for HIP login information wasn't always saving correctly.
Design Change: A few changes to help correct issues that can occur when uploading a report with [[]] notes in them.

Increased cover photo quality.
New Feature: Report Settings->Formatting->Advanced Colors. This option gives you the ability to add unlimited colors to all your narratives. This is something you should be careful of using if you decide to enable it as reports can easily become confusing to your clients if you overdo it! A drop down box of colors will be displayed when editing comments. If you color a comment and select it to be used in the report the selected color will override the default selection or damage panel colors you have set for your report. If a comment is not colored using the drop down it will have the default selection panel or damage panel colors.
New Feature: Transparent option added to Item Description background to accommodate watermarks on stationery.
Design Change: HIP will now launch the PDF when you click Generate Report with the default PDF viewer, even if it's not Adobe Reader.
Design Change: Warning comes up if you click Insert Sketch but already have an image in the slot. This prevents accidentally clicking the button and having your photo cleared.
Design Change: When copying report sections the fonts and color used will copy as well.
Design Change: Address Line 2 prints on cover page if something has been added to it.
Design Change: Updated the Spanish translation files so the full HIP interface including menus, help tips, etc all are in Spanish.
