TOPIC: Photo Position

Re: Photo Position 11 years 11 months ago #48898

"The labeling determines the position in the report, not the order taken."

If you have multiple pictures in the same section of the report, the order in which they were taken will dictate the order they show up in the report.

If you rename the photographs before you upload them, you can determine the order they show up in the report (in the same section).

If you're fortunate enough to take all of your photographs in sequence then you don't have to do anything. But today I had water leaks in the crawlspace below a bathroom and an hour later make it up to the bathroom and take some more pictures at the source. They all go into "plumbing", but any other plumbing pictures I took before I got there will show up in between.

Sometimes it's as easy as placing a letter behind the camera named photograph that you want the picture to follow in sequence.

This only becomes a real problem if you use a lot of pictures.

David you can correct that issue by adding more component titles in your template.
Why go to plumbing if you have a section titled Bathrooms?

You can have different templates which is nice if you change to many different building styles.
My template has Bathrooms and master Bathrooms so I can use just Bathrooms and combine or if there are many issues will use both.

Title is (Bathroom)s

You may be a straight systems and components guy however this is why I use a hybrid template.Bth and kitch have their own because of numerous issues that would add more photos in one section if not segregated.
Depends on style I guess.
