TOPIC: Drop Down Box Plans

Drop Down Box Plans 13 years 11 months ago #32474

Is there a plan to add additional drop down box selections to comments?  I would particularly like to see a LOC box which I could trigger in my comments to specify a location.  Example:  The LOC sink trap was leaking at the time of the inspection. I would list all the locations (master bath, kitchen, laundry, etc) in the drop down and select from there and it would add the selection to the comment.  Going further, I wonder if we could create drop downs in our comments for whatever topic we wanted.  Like, for example, if I wanted to have a standard set of either implications or recommendations for an observation could I add two custom drop downs in my comments for stuff like this? For example, my comment might look like:  The LOC sink trap was leaking at the time of the inspection. Left unattended, leaks in sink traps IMP (damage interior finishes, cause rot, etc).  We recommend REC ( repair, replacement, review by an experienced plumber, etc).  This way I can select one general comment, like TRAP LEAKS, and customize it to fit any condition I find anywhere during my inspection with some simple selection clicks.

It's the #1 feature I'm working on right now and almost done. I'm trying to work out a few quirks to make sure tracking of moving the boxes and deleting htemm isall working properly.

Thanks, Dom--

I was worried that you might have trouble deleting htemm (and I thought I was anal retentive)  Just keep us posted.

Hah, oops. That's what I get for typing on one keyboard while reading the monitor on a different computer!
