TOPIC: Reload questions

Hello DM from John in Sooke, BC.

I have loaded a fresh version 2.6.0.4 off a disc into my laptop and have it running with a lic file I had put away.
I know about the Java upgrade problem and am staying away from Java upgrades until I can upgrade to HIP version 3 (when the local economy finally recovers).

I can now go to the downloads page and load the upgraded version 2, right?

After I customize this freshly loaded HIP, I wish to transfer it into my desktop PC, remember those? Should I delete all previous HIP files in the PC first, or are they safe put away in a folder? I don't want to create a conflict.

You can just copy the new files over the old. I recommend backing up the folder first just in case things get copied incorrectly.
