Hi Steven,

Why make a separate template for Condo's and Townhomes?

Hi Dominic,
I was thinking of making a separate template so i can change my residential not to have all the narratives that go with a condo/town home. I would also take out some areas that are not inspected on these homes like roof grounds etc. I have been doing a lot of these for investors and i find myself doing a lot of deleting sections and putting in a lot of narratives that are not needed, this is why i have been thinking of different templates.
Thanks for your response

"all the narratives that go with a condo/town home"
Could you give me an example of the things that could be different other than it a condo or townhome?
I've done very many and my standard residential templete is just fine.

Most narratives that state about the HOA being responsible for areas/conditions.

Steven, the trick is that there's no need to ever delete sections in HIP! When you generate a report is asks you what pages you don't want to print. You can manually unclick Grounds, Garage, etc or click the button on that screen that will automatically deselect sections without pics.

You can also have items within a section automatically not print if there's no comments or pics. Set this under Report Settings->Options->Item Options.

There's no need to delete, as that would be a waste of time like you mentioned. But keeping the same template for residential and condos helps save time as you add a narrative once and it appears in both places.
