When You Use Photos In A Report Do You use a date stamp on the pictures?  I am thinking the pictures look a bit messy with the date stamped on them, yet I do like the date as another method of preserving the exact time of the inspection?  What do you prefer? 8)

I don't have the option with my camera, but they are included in the exif data I save with the original photos.

Some E&O insurance providers strongly recommend including them date and time stamps in your report images.

I personally do not use the date stamp.

Being that it is so easy to edit a photo and add the date or time, how would the insurance company prove that the date was stamped by the camera and not added in at a later date?

They can't. But it probably does add an extra reason to dissuade clients as they probably don't realize that.

Bill, what camera are you using? I haven't seen a camera that doesn't have that option in a long time.

I use a Sony DSC-H2

It surprised me as well that it does not have the option to imprint the time date stamp on images.

I was trying to look thru the specs but there is like 140+ pages.
Nice camera!!

Here are the specs, with all the options you would think it would be an option.
