From way back in my Navy days we would send newbies to get some cleaning supplies:

Sterile bucket of steam
bulkhead remover

oh and onboard ship there was always the Mail Buoy watch
and the infamous sea bats

lol I've heard stories about the mail buoy.  We couldn't do those kinda tricks. lol  Ahhhh the good ol days!  LOL
