TOPIC: What kina vehicle do you use and why?

Re: What kina vehicle do you use and why? 15 years 3 months ago #6867

Cadillac CTS.  I don't have any problems.  28 mpg.  I keep a 12.5' and a 14.5', wide steps version Telesteps in the trunk.  (300 lb versions).  Every other tool I normally use is in my BucketBoss Hopalong.  It holds every tool I need.  I keep any specialized tools in hard cases in the trunk.  (Out of sight, out of mind)

In this area with freezing temps at night, I always remember to remove the tool bag and specialized tools.  Nothing worse than dead batteries or frozen / broken screens on your meters.

As long as the vehicle looks good, it doesn't matter what it is.  If it's a junker, don't use it for your business.  Always make sure it is clean.  Perception is everything.

I use the Werner equivalent of the Little Giant - the same ladders except mine only cost $97...  they fold up great and fit right in the back!

Thats what i got the werner multi - I lay it down on a reclined front seat in my corolla. I keep a smaller fibreglass ladder strapped to roof, but its covered in snow,,lol

I guess Stephen doesn't like my truck above.  It took a lot of time to get it to that faux distressed condition!  Classic all around!

Kidding - way back in the post I think I said I drive a Ford Escape hybrid.  Does not get the mileage they claimed it would - liars...

How do the telescoping ladders work for you?

Love em.  Wouldn't work without them.  See post in the ladder thread.

2009 Toyota Corolla LE

30/35 MPG Actual

It's my second one.  I put 90K on my 06' in three years.  I purchase a new vehicle every three years.  I've had multiple Ford F150's and Rangers.  The fuel economy was killing me.  I've had months with the trucks when my fuel bill was running over $600 per month. My 2006 corolla was never in the shop for anything other than oil changes and tire rotations.  Their pretty much bullet proof.
