TOPIC: Home Inspector Pro Beta 3.6.5 Released!

Home Inspector Pro Beta 3.6.5 Released! 10 years 7 months ago #54754

Hi Guys,

HIP 3.6.5 Beta is out! Download it at www.homeinspectorpro.com/dmdocuments/HomeInspectorPro-3_6_5.exe . Updates since the last public version, 3.5 are below. Make sure to read them all! Let me know how the beta goes!

3.6.5

New Feature: When opening Mobile HIP inspections using Lists they will be properly selected and show the selections in damage panels (previously only worked in selection panels).

Design Change: The actual Notes text no longer appear in the drop down for possible photo captions. The text after Notes will appear.

3.6.1

New Feature: You can now rearrange photos in the report by dragging and dropping to reorder within the actual section of the report. Click Show Photos in any section to view the photos and then rearrange (you may also have photos always set to print).

New Feature: You can now hover your mouse over a picture to review the caption you chose while in the comments section (area left or red/black buttons).

Bug Fix: Removed extra comma in summary at beginning of comments.

Bug Fix: Fixed extra space and line added when the description text field is blank.

Bug Fix: "Select All" button under Report Settings->Section Colors & Print Order now actually selects all (it was missing the last item)!

Bug Fix: File->Save Template shows pops up the template selection window to choose where to save to.

3.6

New Feature: New checkbox added under Report Settings->Options->Item Options to split single items across multiple pages. By default Home Inspector Pro does NOT split single items (i.e. toilet, windows, etc) across multiple pages. If an item doesn't fit one one page, all comments for that item get pushed to the next page. This is to prevent one or two stray lines from ending up on the next page. In some templates (such as the TREC template) reports tend to have much longer items than usual (lots of comments within one item),<br> so breaking them across more than one page makes sense.

Bug Fix: The Summary Report title was previously overlapping with the text on Texas reports printed with page breaks. This has been fixed.

3.5.1

New Feature: Option added to show a horizonal line inbetween section items under Report Settings->Item Name Format. Works best with transparent background.

Bug Fix: Fixed issue with photos when using the new inspection merge feature

Sweet!!!!!

Especially since I'm working with an older version because the "comma bug" bugged me:)

I download the beta this after noon...and have at inspection at 6:30. At a quick glance so far so good!

The only adjustment I had to make was my company logo on the "Summary Page" was in the Header.  I simply went into my Summary Document and lowered my Logo...and all was good.

I have two document files that are checked to appear before the Summary...

The 1st file is my company logo using the hidden HTML check box in the upper right corner.
The 2nd file is my text.

I honestly don't remember how I got the logo to appear first...but it does (which is good).  I just had to hit return twice above the logo to add a couple additional blank lines...and the everything shifted down perfectly. I'm assuming it was a font change in the blank-spacing above my logo...or something along those lines. I was still working with ver 3.3 pervious
