TOPIC: Requests/wish list for discussion

Requests/wish list for discussion 11 years 4 months ago #51081

After a couple of weeks of messing around with building a template these are the main things I've added to my wish list:

1) Ability to choose the generated report page size - we use A4 size in Australia which differs slightly from letter size so printing the report either shrinks it or cuts a chunk off.
2) Increased picture quality or the ability to choose the quality - both the cover page image and images that are inserted in documents are coming out a bit blurry.
3) Ability to choose what information is included in the header and footer throughout the report - would like to be able to not have the Client's name featured on every page for privacy reasons.
4) A field on the 'client info' page for a customer/report reference number.

The only other issue I'm having (which I didn't include because it's already been discussed) is the use of lists in the app, which I'm eagerly awaiting!! Other than that the program is great and we can't wait to get it all up and running  ;D

Thanks for creating a new thread Angus.

1. I'll have to talk to some of our other Aussie users to see what they're doing right now. I'll look at what changes would be needed too.

2. You can do this now under Report Settings->Options->Photos. The cover page photo quality was a bug, that's been fixed in the beta and will be public soon.

3. You can use the stationery feature to generate your own header/footer. You can also remove the clients name from the Client Info screen before generating the report.

4. This is what the 'Other Info' field on the client info page is for. We have a few people that all wanted 1 more thing that was different so we created that field as the overflow.

We're definitely working on the lists in the app! Stay tuned!

Any thought about:

1. A database function so that client information is retained or can be accessed ( Name, address of home inspected, amount, date, etc..)?
2. A Quickbooks interface that would allow you to download data to Quickbooks from HIP(Sales,etc..)

Hey Scott,

1. The problem with this is that so many guys are using multiple devices. That's one of the reasons we integrated fully with ISN (inspectionsupport.net) was to give you all these features and a ton more. I have thought about making a feature that could scan all inspection files that have been saved for data so that's possible.

2. Definitely on the to-do list.

I know about ISN but, IMVHO it is just too expensive for what I would get out of it.  They offer so many features and tools that I just do not see the use for.  I priced them at COA in Vegas and found them to be just overpriced for the services I would really use.

Would it be possible to collect the clients information like HIP now does for real estate agents.  Have one tab for Agents and one for Clients?

Good to see that the Quickbooks interface is on the "To Do List"!
