TOPIC: Who wants illustrations connected to comments?

Re: Who wants illustrations connected to comments? 14 years 4 months ago #25239

I agree as It would nice to add placement automatically.
Right now it can be done but would be time consuming as you would need to go to your computer files and add it as a picture or else if in docs the illustration would appear at top of the section .which creates a dis-connect.

To have them tied to a comment would mean the illustration would appear next to the comment and take no time at all.

Certainly would be unique.

May not even be possible in the program.

Not possible now, but pretty much anything can be programmed in :)

What about "pre-saving" with illustrations in there? Or would that screw up the "batch add" later?

I have done pre-saved files but on a different program.

"Defaut 2 story mid 90's slab on grade" then copy to new inspection... not familiar enough with HIP to know if that's possible.

Advantage with any software is having items "pre-checked" off to go through, advantage here may be that and illustrations.

Anyway... just a late nite thought!

You could pre-save an inspection and batch add later without a problem. Will make more sense though when we allow templates to have comments & pics pre-saved so the narratives update with each inspection.

Dominic, what would be the disadvantage to having, say a "2 Story Slab on Grade Attached 2 Car Garage" and then re-naming file to your actual inspection?

Would Client/Home and Agent Info data collection be more difficult/different, etc?

You guys share templates right now... that's awesome. Having a template that saves images could have some "aspects" to it.

If I use an ASTM style commercial inspection, is there a way to incorporate any math functions for probable costs?

Just a couple questions.
