Re: New Idea 16 years 1 month ago #817

Ok new discovery

If you open a PDF , you can drag words into the comments
Just highlight and click drag to the box.
This means you can create special PDFs seprate from the templates to be more flexable

............. You can actually split screen any two windows. Hold down the ctrl button, click on the two windows in the bottom taskbar on your computer, right click on one of the and select "Show windows side by side" in vista, and I think it says "Tile vertically" in xp, but it's been awhile so I'm not sure of the exact terminology. Thanks for pointing that out, it's a great tip.

Well that was a great tip. Works fine in XP but how do I do it in Vista on my Q1?

I don't have an external keyboard and if I hold down the ctrl key with the on screen kyb I can't select the the task bar items. Any ideas?

Thanks Bob. I just tried that.
I make a pdf of my contract for each client with the name, address and fee so I can email to him before the inspection.
With the "split screen" I can just drag that whole contract into "documents" and have it appear in the report. Sweet.

I actualy e-mail the cover page with the client info, which shows the fee.
The contract blank stays the same

I don't see why it would be any different on Vista, it's a normal version of vista. Do you see the taskbar items depressed when you hold down the ctrl button and click on both programs?
