TOPIC: What Dynamic Content Variables Would You Add Into Program

Re: What Dynamic Content Variables Would You Add Into Program 14 years 11 months ago #12966

Dominic,  I agree with most of these comments.  I would like to see dynamic variables added to the contract: Client's name, date of inspection, and property address, to the body of the contract. For Example:

THIS CONTRACT is an agreement made and entered only on $date of inspection$ between $clientName$, hereby referred to as "Client" and $inspectorName$, doing business as (company name), hereby referred to as “Company”....

...COMPANY agrees to conduct an inspection for the purpose of informing the Client of major deficiencies in the condition of the property at $inspectionAddress$, subject to ... etc...

Also, I would really like to include an INVOICE with variables such as above!

Thanks, Dominic.

Including this to work with narratives would be cool. Right now however the only instance that I see them used as are like the invoice panels you guys are talking about, or something like
Recommend install of GFCI outlets, since your home is $InspectionHomeAge GFCI's were not a requirement in its construction.

John, I just don't think (that example you site, about GFCIs) that level of detail info is necessary to include.

One of my GFCI damage panel statements is along these lines:

"Modern safety standards require any branch circuit outlets at (locations) to be GFCI protected. At the time this house was built, this was not required. Nonetheless, I strongly recommend they be added at these locations as an extra preventative safety measure."

I agree with you that the real value of $variables is in documents and in the contract.

Just my opinion.

We'll have the drop down boxes shortly which you could include in the narratives so I think that will be more useful than including the variables with the narratives.

That site was one I found online for you guys.  I don't quote anything from it for my customers.  I try to keep everything short, sweet, and thorough in my report
