If this works there will be a picture of a outlet, a night light and whats left of a penny
One of my granddaughters slipped this penny behind the night light and the penny made contact with both prongs and the night light became a welder and cut the penny down to the size it is now
Tomorrow I will be installing arc fault breakers

AFCI would have benefited the service in my house. My kitchen light mysterious shorted out and replacing the bulbs and then the fixture itself didn't rectify the problem. So I opened up one of the three-way switches and found that there was nasty arch damage between that switch and the one for the exterior light. The hot terminal for that kitchen light and its conductor were melted together and there was significant arch damage along the metal frame of the neighboring switch, as if some nitwit arched current from that terminal with a screwdriver to the other's frame. Since I haven't heard of anyone getting seriously electrocuted in this house, I assume some Handyman Harry is one lucky SOB for walking away from that one without the benefit of AFCI protection!
