TOPIC: Photo Size Control

Photo Size Control 9 years 1 month ago #60629

My pictures are taken using a wide screen shot (16:9) and was wondering how do you control the physical size in the report. When I set the number of photos across to 3 and quality is set to 3, I get the attached look. When I set the Number across to 2 and the quality to 3 I get 2 across but much larger images.

What I really want is the size of the second set of images and 2 across would be fine but for all the images. But how to ensure that when there is a single image or three images that I get the same sizes.

Hi Jeff,

You need to change the photos on your camera to be a 4:3 ratio instead of the 16:9. The 16:9 is almost twice as wide as it is tall. There's no way to get 3 images across with this without them being really short as you have to keep the aspect ration when scaling. Switch your camera mode (which all cameras have) and your pics will look MUCH better.

I want the 16x9 photo.
I do not want 3 images across.
I want the sizing of the 2 across 16x9 in the sample but I want that exact same size when I have a single photo too. Now, if that means that I have to resize my photos before adding them to Home Inspector Pro, then I will do that.

Also on the topic of Photo sizing, what is the max size for the company logo and the cover photo. I want to lay out the cover page stationary and I need to figure out the transparent gif size for the logo spacer.

What is the point of the sizing of 2 across and quality of 3 across if the program auto controls the size to begin with?

I'm not sure what you mean? The quality setting doesn't affect the size.

For the logo, insert that directly into your stationery so you have complete control.

But I can set the quality of three across to the highest quality? I found when I set the number on pictures I cannot set higher quality.

What I really want is for the picture to remain the same size. I found that if I had 2 pictures they are smaller in size than a single picture.
