I love old houses!  I almost got to check out a gravity fed system, but instead, it turned out to be a 1976 Bryant forced air system.  But they decided that they had limitless ductwork, SOOO...

Hey Casey, that might have been an upgrade from the gravity heat from an old wood burning furnace at one time.  :)
Not the most efficient system, but worked, right? ;)

You would be correct Marcel.  I found the chute/wood storage room just adjacent to the room with the furnace.
