TOPIC: Upload service

Well, I have a story and this seems the best place to put it.  Yesterday we were working at the computer and the internet stopped working.  A few minutes later we noticed the TV was quiet as well and it looked like a Comcast glitch.  We had to go pick up our 7-yr old from school but when we returned nothing had changed.  Long story short, we had an outage and no internet, nothing getting done electronically.  We have Vonage so the calls are automatically forwarded to our AT&T cell phone (which, by the way, gets really bad reception in our neighborhood).  I received three calls today, in rapid succession, from realtors who needed a copy of the reports I had done.  I happened to be downtown with my wife and we tried to get service with my inspection computer but no luck.  What was I going to do? 

I remembered I IM'd Dominic last week and asked if I could upload my report from HIP but not check the boxes for the client or the realtor.  Dominic said that it was; I thought this could be yet another way to save my report in the event my redundancy goes away (like my house burns down or someone steals my computer).  I called Dominic and asked a favor--which turned to three. 

Dominic was able to find these reports and email them for me.  Dominic to the rescue.  So here'smy bottom line:  I'm very happy to be able to use HIP upload service.  Dominic was able to save me some face by emailing the reports for me.  What's equally neat but I didn't realize it until I was driving back from town, is that I could have accessed my HIP account from the real estate office needing the reports and could've looked like a hero.  Dominic is the real hero.

Thanks Dominic for the HUGE help today!  For anyone on the fence or thinking about not having the upload service, I'd recommend signing up--it saved me!  Don't forget to upload your reports if you do have the service.

I have been using the upload service back & forth for about 3 months.

I would say maybe 20-30 reports I have uploaded.

The feedback from the agents has been negative. I have had no positive responses.

I have had to personally drive to a clients home to deliver report as they could not figure out how to open.

Agents get frustrated with the registration procedure.
Agents can not figure out password.
Agents can not figure out how to open.

I have had at least 6-10 agents personally call, email and complain.

I love HIP, Dominic my website but I got tell you.

I am not loving the upload service.

Is anyone else having problems or is it just me.
