Dom,

I'm considering the Dell Venue 11 Pro for onsite use of the Windows version of HIP. Just how much computing power do I need to run HIP and a few other programs for inspecting? Would an Atom processor do? How much ram do I need? Will future upgrades change the requirement? Can I finish and upload the inspection with a Windows Tablet? Do I have to finish the inspection with a desktop or laptop?

Thanks!

You can finish 100% on a Windows tablet. HIP was actually designed specifically for Windows tablets. Make sure it has at least 4 gigs of ram (8 or more is preferred). Atom processors van be a bit slow. If you can get a normal i3 or above processor it'll run much smoother.
