TOPIC: How to Add A Slideshow

How to Add A Slideshow 15 years 9 months ago #2011

To make a slideshow:

Click on My Account->Personal Files. There are 9 folders there Slideshow1,Slideshow2, etc...

Upload all the images you want in the first slideshow in to Slideshow1. It's best if you pick images that are the same width & height, but it doesn't matter.

Under Create Content, click on Panel. Pick one of the layouts (this can be used for more than slideshows). The Two Column Stacked is good as it allows you to put text above and below the slideshow. Otherwise a single column is good too.

Fill out the usual page name, url, tags, etc and click submit.

Then click Panel Content along the top of the page.

Click the + in the box you want to add the slideshow. Choose slideshow 1-9 and save.

That's it! After you figure out the first one it's very easy to do.

Easy for you, difficult for me.  :o

Can sound be added to the slide show.

I was thinking of creating a slide show for the inspection defect photos.

How do you add text to each photo?

Can you create to show each area of the homes defects. Like lets say there are 30 photos and 6 are in electrical. Could a slide be made stating electrical defects or am I over analyzing again.

You can create 10 separate slide shows, so yes you can have an electrical, plumbing, etc. For the text, rename the files what you want the text to be as the file name shows at the bottom. No sound on the slideshows at this time. I might work on something with more features down the road.

So

Are you saying I need to make a separate slide show for each area of the home?

Or can I just make one slide show for all of the photos

It's up to you. You can do whatever you want! You have 10 folders, slideshow1...slideshow10. Load the all the pics in slideshow1 if you want it together, or separate it.
