It is almost a bigger requisite in your area with the warmer temperatures.  Nothing worse than leaving the hose in the kiddie pool or around the fruit trees and having it suck everything right back into the hose.  I always recommend as an upgrade.

I personally agree with Jay. I think they are nothing but a pain. Many of the ones that are on a house, seem to fail quickly, especially after a good winter. I especially love the ones that spray water all over you when you turn them on or off. I will note them not being there, but its hard to imagine there being enough suction in you pipes to suck water through 50 ft of garden hose and into your house. I would think you could have bigger problems if this was the case. I could be wrong though. Someone educate me if i am.

I don't mention them but in passing.  If I see them and my client is there, I tell them its good to have them.  If they are not installed, I don't bring it up.
