I created this board to specifically discuss each theme and how to make the most out of them. If you find a mistake in a theme or some colors that don't work well, post it here so the corrections can be made. I'll also post updates as I change around and make changes to themes to make them more flexible.

Haha, Roger will be there this weekend I'm sure He told me about the house you guys inspected that had TWENTY TWO guys living in it! He's told me about every inspection he's done with you and what's he's been learned. Beats sitting in a classroom any day. Dale's school of hard knocks in the real world!

I started out with theme 14, but decided to go with theme 8. When I log in to my site it switched from 8 to 14. Why?

You set your personal theme under My Account which only affects you when you're logged in. Set it to the same as the default theme.

OK that worked. Just warning you Dom,my frustration level is gonna go sky high, doing the new site. I think I forgot some things.

That's fine. Just look over the tutorials , animated and written, and use the search function here on the forum before going nuts

I did a search for "header" and nothing came up. I thought it was strange, since there are several threads with the word header.

If you're in a section of the forum when you search, it only searches that section (i.e. if you search while looking at an SEO post). Go back to the main message board page and then search.

I am switching themes. I like 8, but I suck at using GIMP, and there are 12 layers to that image and I need to get the site up. I am going to try 2, I will play with GIMP later. I spent 2 days trying to play with that header image. I don't like the flower things, not manly enough for me.

In theme 8, why does the name of my company show up in lower case? I entered it in upper and lower case.

It's a theme css setting. I actually had changed it, but recently updated all the themes and updated an older version. I need to fix that today.

OK good. Are we able to change the font and size? I am thinking we can't.

Not at the top, that's fixed by this theme. You can turn off the site title and put a block in the header instead. In that case you could edit it. In 8 you could turn off the top company name and put it in the top right header region if you wanted and control it.

I am now using theme 10. Check out my header and tell me what you guys think. It represents about 24 hours of work, 60 cups of coffee, and many curse words, that includes learning some, but not all of GIMP. I made the background more transparent and added my logo and text. That GIMP program becomes addicting, there is a lot you can do with it.

In theme 10, can I change the font color for the navigation?

Not bad looking.  I would work on the font a bit.  Some of the letters fade out then come back in.  Might make a little difficult for some to read.  Although it was fine for me and I'm a blind bastard.  lol

What do you mean by fade out, then come back in? They are black text, I thought it was good contrast. You blind bastard!!!  Oh and John, when I get this site done, you can link to it, you can be the first!!!
