I just landed 2 more large commercial projects that I wouldn’t have received otherwise without a website!

I am also now working closely with a public utility provider to provide energy surveys to their customers who may be interested as part of an energy awareness and savings program they have initiated for their entire service area (all of west central Ohio) again thanks to the website.

I continue to receive compliments on my website with almost every call that comes in.  One of the most popular questions is “who did your website?” and they are amazed when I tell them I did.

And yes... it is a Home Inspector Pro website!  Many kudos to Dominic!

Good to hear that.  I get about 99% of my business from my site.  Got my second site primed and ready for take off at the six month point.  I cant wait!!!  I will be doing a third when that one takes off.

I am also wondering how everyone's site or sites are doing. Are they producing for you? How much of your business is coming from your website? I would prefer to hear the quantities instead of percentages, percentages are not that informative. I am surprised this has not been a main thread.

On a normal month I get 7-10 inspections from my first site.  My second site still isn't producing yet and just as soon as I get my 3rd site linked up, I will be looking into this more.

That may not be a huge number, but its enough to pay the bills.

John, thank you. That is exactly the type of information that I find useful.  So, one site is producing and the other isn't. I would assume it would have to do with page rankings. I am still a newb to all of this and I think this type of info could help us all. We can learn from each other whats working and what isn't.

Page ranking is only part of it.  It is a newer site so page rank is lower than the first site.  But also, my focus is on smaller cities with that site.  So that might be whats causing the lower response.  Also, I may need to go look at my key words throughout the site to see if they are working well.

I see that my first site is producing 1000% ROI, that makes me expect the same from every other site as well.

Larry, I think search engine ranking has a great deal to do with it. People searching don't really go to page 2 or 3. The other big thing I feel is how much competition there is on page 1.

I am my own worst enemy when it comes to search engine rankings. My main site has had at least five different homepages. I have been on page one and when I am I get calls. I can never seem to stay there though. When I drop, I look for a reason, and usually change something. That's the reason I cannot stay on top and get calls. So, www.homespectllc.com would produce if I let it. I am just always trying to improve and that's not always good.

I have a Philadelphia, PA site which is a real disappointment. That site really produces nothing. The search engine rankings are excellent, yet I get nothing. That site I have left the content alone and still nothing.

I guess that there is no formula, because if there is I sure don't know it.

I know that my chances are the best when on page1, I just cannot seem to keep it there. I was in the top listings for both philad...home inspector and philad...home inspection and home inspection is on page 2 and home inspector is on page 5  Three of my other four key cities I own the top spot. I am tempted to drive out there and see if there are any inhabitants left!

I have been grading most sites in my area. None, are proactively doing SEO. I am hoping that with Dom's tips we can get to number one and that we get even harder to beat with age. I have taken advantage of Dom's 3 month policy. I hope to be positioned and reaping the benefits of it in 3 months. Dom, is smart cause at that point everyone wins and you will keep the site. I have put several hundred hours into my sites, literally.

Yup, nothing better than proving a product before people have to buy it, though with larger cities it's harder. You've already hit page #1 for several cities which is great.

Man that's great.  Beats my 7800 SQFT inspection I did last week.  That job will make for a very nice Christmas bonus!!!
