I have found a few like that myself. I have had to go to register.com to try to find an email address for some of them to contact them about exchanging links. Some I got some I didn't.  I haven't gone through my site links lately to see who hasn't linked back...yet.

Don't waste your time with those sites.  I had over 400 inspector links at one time, mostly from NACHI.  I had to constantly go through the list dropping off the dead wood and dead beats.  Most of them won't maintain their sites.  Or they'll drop you off or switch to some sort of adult content or spam site linking back to yours.

Dom helped me get a bunch of crap links off my site.  I had no idea how these links change, alter or degrade to become a negative for your site rather than a positive SEO influence.

Well if our guys drop they'll be deleted from our system which will put a red bar across them in the link exchange program until you uncheck that you've linked to them. So if you see someone whose site is down, just let me know. Same goes for people with no link backs. I'll put together an email to send out this weekend to everyone as well.

You need to post on the main SEO link exchange thread to let people know you've linked to them. Otherwise they have no way to know you've linked to them. 90% of the guys respond very quickly, it's the 10% that are newer and take some work.

I have already started to remove guys from my link page. I have emailed them and posted on the link page and nothing after more than a month. Some of them you can't even find an email address. Dom, can you add a slot on the tracking page for email address and make it required info in order to list on the page?

Adrian, sorry for not replying earlier. I have had you linked since you emailed me a few days ago. I am working out of town and staying in a Motel with the worst wireless internet I have ever seen. It took 15 min to load this page to reply. The speed ranges from 5.0 Mbps to 24 Mbps which is where I am at right now.

I linked you, Jay, and Ian and it will be difficult to continue until I get home. The upside is lots of good commercial construction/inspection pics and two commercial reports. I can't even think of posting pics until I get home in about a week.
