Hello everyone,

Awesome program Dominic, I'm really looking forward to finish my training and purchase it.

I do have a question however related to this upload service.

Is this upload service mandatory??

I'm sure this question was covered in the tutorial and probably answered somewhere in here but must have missed, anyway..

All I need is a report software that let me e-mail and/or print my reports without having to pay a monthly fee for an upload service or something similar.

Hi Tony,

The upload service is definitely not mandatory. The program generates PDF files which you can email off to your clients or print out. The upload service is used by about 30-40% of our users for multiple reasons.

1. It becomes a marketing tactic to agents. You say to agent: "View all the reports I've done for you for the past 3 years. Reports won't fill up your email inbox or your hard drive. You won't lose them if your computer crashes."

2. You have a place where all your reports are backed up online and you can easily find all your reports. Many guys end up purchasing the upload service soon after their hard drive fails and they lose all their documents. Of course you can get your own hard drive and backup on your own as well!

3. It's easy to deliver. Within the program you click upload report, check if you want the client and/or agent to get a copy and your done. You don't need to jump into your email and send it as an attachment (not that it's all that hard to do though).

I hope this answers your question! If not let me know Smiley

It definitly does anwser all of my questions. Thank you very much!

I agree with all the marketing "plus" that this upload service would offer it's just that I hate being obligated to pay for a monthly fee that I may or may not need, specially during the first 8-9 months in the business.

Took me a while to try and compare different report softwares and looks like you are the winner!

Regards

Hey Tony,

I totally understand. You'll get to test out the report upload service for 90 days for free which will help you decide as well. What you can always do is offer it to the agents and see if any perk up and really like the idea and enable it at that time. I know inspectors who have agents choose them in large part because of the feature.

The report upload service is going to become more powerful in the near future. We are working on a way to incorporate the ability to have your client pay for their report with their credit card online, before they are able to download it . That way you don't have to accept checks (that might bounce) at the job site. We are still negotiating with a few banks to get you the best deals possible on processing fees but I think we've found our winner and will start programming it in soon.

I'm heading for bed, it's 3:30am here and I'm beat. Tony, if you'd like to check out some of the really cool new features in the beta version of the program shoot me an email at Dominic@HomeInspectorPro.com and I'll send you the link.
