I just wanted to give a head's up with this news item that found its way to the news link on my website.  You should probably read it too.

This is something that is likely to get worse.  On the advice of my son, a lawyer for Microsoft, but lawyer nonetheless, I have added a clause to the agreement my clients sign, which I am having printed immediately for use.  It advises my clients that I am not qualified to detect the presence or absence of Chinese drywall and that it is specifically EXCLUDED from the inspection and report.

I know that FREA is recommending the same.

This stuff is popping up in more and more locations.  Until there is bona fide industry training we can tap into, I think we would be circumspect to head it off at the pass and avoid liability now.

Yep....


I will look for it at the Service Panel, then the Refrig. Lines. on exterior, then attic and also look for a label in attic. On the "down low" of course.
