I had someone today ask me to do a home inspection.  They also asked if I can check to see if it would pass a VA inspection.  I obviously can not garentee that but I thought I'd see what kind of requirments the VA has when inspecting a home.  I didn't find anything.  Has anyone run into this before?  If so do you have some info so at least I can guide the home buyers in the right direction.

I think it is just doing your normal inspection. VA I believe checks the livable conditions of the home. I believe an appraiser does those for the loan company. You might call one to see what they are looking at.

That's a question for the VA Appraiser that will be called randomly to the property.  The VA will not ask for a copy of the inspection unless the VA Appraiser notes safety and or habitablility issues about the property.  The purchase process cannot go forward until the VA Appraisers issues have been resolved.

VA loans are statistically the most unsuccessful form of transaction based purely on property condition...
