Anyone know how to make a PDF file from a Ms word file or text file with out spending hundreds of dollars for the Adobe program?

Go through the file menu in upper left corner and save as....PDF is an option. |

Say what Dom? I just did it. Did I misunderstand the question? Sorry, I meant the office button. Create the Word doc then you can choose what you are saving it as, right? Man, now I feel like that dog running around the tree watching my chain get shorter and shorter, so confused. What did I miss? This is just for fun!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

What Dom was saying is saving is you cant save a file in PDF format from Microsoft Word without downloading that other program. After you download it, in order to make the PDF file you have to act like your going to print your file, but instead of actually printing you choose the option to create a PDF, the save the file instead of printing it. Its sounds more confusing than it actually is. |

John, I am confused then, because when I want to save a doc in word, saving it as a pdf is an option. Maybe I need a tutorial for this question!!  |

You can download a FREE program from http://www.primopdf.com/ and that will convert and printable file to a PDF. I use it all of the time. You have to save the Word file first that run the Primo program and follow the bouncing ball. |

Hey Robert, Welcome to the forum! I guess we can call you a long time user, first time poster  Were in at the Seminar I did in New York (on Staten Island) a few weeks ago? I used primo PDF for a long time and it works great. The problem is I can't get it to work on 64 bit version of Windows Vista so I switched to bullzip. |

The bullzip program is free and works well. I deleted the post by our spammer. Eventually I'm sure PrimoPDF will catch up with the 64 bit.
