The survey is only a day old and I think if you were to e-mail them the link to the survey with their report they might just do it. If they do then it will probably help SEO also, if they don't the there's another idea down the toilet!

I've seen other inspectors email the clients the survey after the inspection and they get about 25% return which I think is pretty good. Make sure to add a 'testimonial' field and note that it will be used on your website along with their first name and last name initial.

I've been thinking of doing the testimonial thing on my site. I seems to get tons of praise but nothing to show future clients. I didn't think of emailing them a link to it. That's not a bad idea. I still think it would be better to have it at the inspection. I always give my clients a clipboard with the 2 business cards, 2 flyer's, contract, invoice, survey, blank paper, in that order top to bottom.

What? No way! They give it to me at the end of the inspection. Not after they get the report. Here is a copy of the NACHI survey. Its simple, lets you know how you are doing right then and there, and if you ever get pulled into court, show them your positive survey and bam... Your home free. (we hope) |

Okay, first thing I notice is your right hand navigation bar is way off. Second thing is your "if no" responses. Find a way to make those sound positive instead of negative. Not quite sure how to do it, but you want a positive person leaving a positive message to a positive question!!! Otherwise I think it looks good. Covers everything I can think of at the moment. |

Drew. Looks awesome here comes the but. You forgot the question mark after is website easy to navigate, receive is spelled wrong (did you receive your inspection report timely manner) and what's with you missing the "d's" in knowledgeable.  |

It's fine in all browsers except IE7 or 8. You need to limit your textfield and textarea width.

Thank you for the review. I think I have corrected everything. Gerry we don't use the "D" in knowledgeable here in the States. LOL The width values of the text areas and the text fields are all set to 80, That is the number used in the tutorial so I figured it was there for a reason. Do you think they should be a different size? I opened up the Nachi survey and I just don't think it contains enough information for me to see if I am doing something wrong or not. Myself, I hate to write (from the looks of my typos I hate to type also  ) so if I were a customer I would like the online survey. This survey or any web form has a URL and META tags so getting people back to your site has to help SEO. I am going to make one for my NJ site also maybe I will come up with more questions to add. |

Garry, what are you talking about? Did you mean John? LOL. Drew, I think it looks great. Since I set that up, I e-mail the link for that pge to the client about 24-48 hours after the inspection with a short note. Previously I did the self addressed stamped envelope thing. Both work pretty good, but this is less expensive, and like you said may help SEO.

Yeah Drew, there are a few changes I would like to make on that form. I sent the file in to get it unlocked so I could make changes, but the company I went to kept telling me they were getting to it. Six months later, they still haven't done it. I got tired of checking up on it. As Owner, President, SEO, FEO, accountant, field hand, executive assistant, and receptionist of my huge inspection company, I just don't have time to stand over someones shoulder to make sure they get their job done. I need to know that my contractors can get their job done correctly and in a timely manner. lol |
