What do you guys think? Do you want to see the inspector section split into a few boards? I was thinking Exterior, Interior, Commercial and Thermal for now. We could add more later. Suggestions?

Hah. No I have a 9 page list for the software alone. Just approaching the time to split a little as our numbers grow. Maybe we'll wait a little longer. Dunno.

Wouldn't bother me a bit to split it up. I would think if your going to spend the time to split things up you may want to go a little further than just the four categories you mentioned. That way your not having to do it all over again later.

The problem with splitting things up too much is that it makes it more difficult to find posts and there's more places to check. When you have more users, then you can split it up some more. This is the strategy I followed with another forum I run that has close to a million posts. If we had expanded too quickly it kills the board.

Would it be better if guys were to add their e-mail addresses to their profiles for quick responses. For instance the SEO thread, I'll bet more than half (maybe way more than half) of the posts are just saying "your linked". Could that be better served by sending an e-mail or does it matter. I myself an always on one of my six e-mail accounts. |
