I was whipping up a custom template this afternoon to match a Commercial Walk-Thru Inspection I did this morning.  I started with a saved blank template and added my menus.  I then added my menu items of each of the main menu items.  I saved the template and started to work on the report.  I finished one menu and went to the next. I had forgotten something on the finished menu item and tried to go back to it.  The just finished menu item had disappeared from the list.  I went into the edit template to see if the missing menu item was there and it was not.  So, I tried adding the menu item in again in the edit template pane.  I was able to do that, but when I tried to add sub-menu topics (right column) under that just added menu item I would get the message that there was already a topic with that name, yet there was nothing in the right hand column.  So, I ended up deleting the whole template and started over.  I used the same name and the same entries and saved the template.  I made my report o.k, then, but when I went into the section colors and print order screen, I see a double listing of all of the menus items.  When I previewed the report I got those menu items doubled up in the report, but one set was kind of goofed up in that the section information did not print nor the observations.  I ended up un-checking the extra menu items so taht they would not show in the printed report.  That worked, but my template still has those items.  It appears that my template is corrupted somehow.  Is there going to be a template un-corrupter tool coming?

Hmm, email me the template at Dominic@HomeInspectorPro.com and I can look at it. Must be something up with the beta. You said that you deleted the template and started over, I'm guessing you actually never closed the program so you still had the same template open, otherwise I don't see why you would have gotten the duplicates.

I have an idea on what could be causing this, I'll check it out. Send me your template (.tpz file in the Data folder).

Thanks.

I figured out how he ended up with duplicate sections. It was an issue that occurs if you delete all the sections but then click cancel instead of save. That causes all the menus to disappear but since save wasn't clicked the changes aren't all made permanent. I'm still working through the fix. Basically I need to eliminate the cancel button as part of it as at this point, making those changes are done live to the current open template. Cleaning up a few other things as well.
