Template Editing

Alright, I have a question which might not be as elementary as some of my others. Is there a way to edit or in my case add wording to the top of a section om a template. For example, the Interior areas section of the default template starts off as      'The Interior section covers areas of the house that are not considered part of the bathrooms...'. Can I (in creating my own template) add similar wording or monkey around with a pre-packaged template.
