This is an odd looking roof.  Anyone ever see this before?  Is it improperly installed?  Looks like a cross between architectural shingles and three tab.

Top picture is ridge ventilation, as per barn roof ventilation. Poor design for a residential property.

The ridge vent as shown is likely to allow wind driven rain to enter the vent, no matter how well they are installed. Expect your client to be phone you up sometime in the future when he finds rains has stained his ceiling or wetted his roof insulation, no matter how well installed the ridge vent appears to be.
