Dang ..why not just use the downspout alone at that size.
Since I have you here , are there ever any exemptions to needing coping flashing on a roof?
In this case it was concrete coping at a parapet wall asphalt roof intersection in the middle of a building.

This is what happens when roofers do siding. There was no flashing along the top or corner of this siding. The owner reports that during rains he can hear water cascading down that corner on both floors. One could wonder why...

Yes, but a roofer should stick to roofing and leave the siding to someone more expert... this guy clearly was no expert!

That's okay if you are good at doing it - rarely are people good at such a wide range of skills, although they "do" them. If the company you refer to employs different guys with different, specific skill sets, well, that is great! When a roofer is asked if he can do siding, and having seen it done thinks he can, we have a different case. The owner in my picture is taking that guy, and others, to court and he will win.
