I was wondering if anyone has attempted an infrared template yet?

Hi Brian,

We have tons of guys inserted infrared images into their inspection reports. Check out the sample report from Charley Bottger or talk to Bill DeVries. They can be inserted just like any image and when you batch add photos you can click the option to skip every other slot so you can add the IR images afterwards.

We are releasing a new version within the next few days (hopefully this weekend) that will allow you to overlay IR images ON TOP of normal images (cropped of course) so you have perspective. That way you don't need external software.

By the way, welcome to the HIP club Cheesy

Thanks for the welcome, it's been a long time coming. I've been tweaking things the last hour and realize how much I will actually enjoy making reports. Before I felt like a kid having to do a book report. I had to make myself do it, all because I was using different software. So thanks again Dom!

My question on the IR stuff, I personally get a lot of "specific" inspections. I do use IR on every inspection, but I get many requests from other providers (mold, waterproofers, roofers, etc...) that I am looking at one specific area only. I've got one in the morning and will attempt a template design for that specific problem.

Ahh ok. Yes you can easily make a template JUST for that area , or even use your general template, go to Report Settings->Section Colors & Print Order and uncheck all the sections you don't want to print.

Also, if you look under the Template section on the board here, Bill DeVries posted a Mold Template he made. Another inspector was going to post his as well. Just save them to C:\Program Files\Home Inspector Pro\Data and you're set. If you do come up with anything feel free to share it in the template area and other guys can run with it, improve and upload more templates.

Glad the program makes you feel like you're out of the book report stage Cheesy I realized when helping another user who was using your old software last night, how limiting some other programs are (like limiting number of pics per section, no photo editing, etc).
