I'm in the market for a new ladder. Do you prefer the Little Giant or a Telescopic type ladder? It seems the LG is more versatile yet the Telescopic are lighter and easier to transport. Please provide your reasons for choice Undecided.
Thanks!

Each have their advantages. I use the LG outside and a telescopic on the interior. The telescopic is much easier to carry and I am less likely to bang a wall when carrying up a staircase. The telescopic is a blood blister menace if you are not extremely careful. In an ideal world I would have a ladder rack on my truck and carry an old fashioned(wood)extension ladder for the exterior and roof work.

I would say that 80% of my inspections are completed with my Telesteps 1800W.  14.5 feet, wide step.  It should be cleaned every week.  Use spray silicone, NEVER WD-40.  If it gets wet like up here in the Pacific NW, it should be taken home, opened, cleaned and sprayed.

The only telescoping ladder that is a "blood blister menace" is one that is being used by someone that didn't read the instructions.  Guaranteed.

I have a 26' LG.  It stays at home except for commercial and higher residential.

I use a few LG ladders. They are easy to see that they are locked in proper position and I feel safe on them. They are heavy, but they have outlasted several other ladders that are now in the trash heap. I still have and use a 1993 LG ladder built by Wing Mfg (Yellow label) before the red lettering took over.
