Looking for a ride-along in central Tennessee

Hello all,

My name is Richard Taylor. I am hoping to arrange a few ride-alongs in central Tennessee. I will be working in the Mt Juliet/Hermitage area. I have completed my required training and passed the state test. Aside from purchasing insurance, I am ready for licensing, but don't plan to do so until I feel comfortable in my ability to do a quality inspection.

I realize that I will need to travel some distance to meet with inspectors outside my area. Thanks in advance for your help, RT.

What other large cities are within an hour or two? I can check our database to see who is nearby.

I'm located in a suburb on the east side of Nashville, about 20 minutes from downtown. Cookeville, Columbia, Murfreesboro and Clarksville are within a couple of hours. Hendersonville, Bellevue and Franklin are about an hour away, but considered part of greater Nashville.

Visit the three national associations and see if any have a chapter near you. ? Most national home inspector associations encourage their members to offer ride-alongs.

We have quite a few inspectors in the MidTN ASHI chapter like Scott Patterson. There's also quite a few InterNACHI guys in Clarksville. Bruce is right, if you're in any of those you'll find someone! We'll see if anyone posts on here though.

I am a NACHI member. So, I'll send some emails to some local chapter members. I wouldn't mind a ride with Mr. Patterson though. I've read a lot of his posts around the web. He seems like a sharp fellow.
