I RECENTLY WON A HP COMPAQ TC1100 RUNNING WINDOWS XP SP3, TABLET PC 2005 -   INTEL CELERON 88HZ - 1.25G RAM

IT HAS A BLUETOOTH LAN ACCESS DRIVER - A BROADCAM 440X 10/100 INTEGRATED CONTROLLER AND AN IrDA FAST INFARED PORT

I'm confused on some issues, Would some of you knowledgeable HIPsters using this tablet, PLEASE help me? Huh

1) HOW DO YOU USE IT - WHATS BEST WAY FOR INSPECTION?

2) HOW TO CONNECT TO INTERNET?( i have U- VERSE basically 2 wire wireless ), OR SHOULD IT BE VIA CABLE TO EXISTING COMPUTER WITH CONNECTION AFTER THE INSPECTION?

3) THE BATTERY SEEMS TO STAY AT 3% IS IT DEAD, CAN I FIND ANOTHER ONE?

4) ANYTHING ELSE TO NOTE ABOUT THESE MACHINES?

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ANY HELP Smiley

Its and old unit Joseph. I briefly had the HP TC4200 running tablet PC 2005 which followed that unit. Your battery says 3% because its at the age where its not holding a charge.  You would need to check Battery Plus, or some other online company for a possible replacement. I currently have an older IBM Tablet and the battery is going.  The TC4200 had a Wi-fi connection....not sure about the TC1100. Time for an upgrade.

Great old machine but sounds like you need a new battery. Do you see any other sort of wireless device on there?

Jump on live chat when you get a chance. They should all have wifi built in though you might have it turned off.

OH YEAH that wireless light is on nice and green - it all seems enabled  - my wireless service is 2 wire at&t UVERSE.

CURRENTLY have it connecting via a Ethernet cable from wireless router,   but dang if it should be able to detect my wireless when i do a search..

maybe i need to look for a driver for 2 wire?
