The driveway that swallows cats

Picture 2 - I blinked and the cat's gone. Where else could it have gone? ?

I believe the hole was more than 30" deep, so I recommended guard rails a minimum of 36" high around it.

Oh, a deck over the seriously cracked driveway...fantastic!  Did Kitty take the leap off of the deck???

Doing well, thanks for asking. That deck looks like a accident waiting to happen. Fall from deck collapse then into driveway crack as it swallows up all that is in the near vicinity.

Hey Casey the deck is a whole different story. All the things you can image wrong w/ a deck- multiply it by 2. Since it was also serving as a carport, you see all the weight of it on the driveway, but they also have exposed plywood on top of joists, roll roofing on top of that w/ 1x6 decking material on top of that w/ gaps between 1x6 decking from 1/2" to an inch. That's just the start of the decks issues.
