Ok, that's similar to what I noticed too. As soon as I get 3.0 out I'll go back and clean up some of those features.

I don't get any response from anything at the bottom.

But I just got this upgrade and I am concentrating mostly on modifying my narratives.

I played around a little bit with the sketch when it was brought up just to see if I knew where to find it.

I will look a little closer as things progress.

David M, you're just biased because Bill W. is your homey! ;-)

Seriously, Mr. Warner is beyond reproach! He's one of the first people I pick up the phone to talk with when I'm looking for something (really off the wall (like moles))! :-)

Actually Dom, I think I had that same experience once or twice a couple weeks ago, but it was right before I had a hard drive fail and I was having a lot of different problems with other programs too so I didn't think much of it at the time.

I've had it happen before so I can reproduce it easy enough.

Is there a way to have the photo pane as the default instead of the black/red pane in the damage panels?
Thanks,

Hi Gill,

You can set the photos to appear to the right of the black/red which is more efficient if you have a large screen.

I everyone still getting the trial expires warning on start up ?
Afraid I might lose my templates in 42 days.
I am going to create a perm template for 3.0.1 so really want to make sure it is not just mine as I reloaded the patch on 10-14-11 just now.

You don't lose anything as HIP 2 is still installed. The next update will extend that 42 days out a bit longer and then we will be issuing the new HIP 3.0 licenses with the official release.

OK that is what I figured but wanted to be sure.
Been working with a ton of file and text managers the last several days in my never ending search for "Search as you type" quest.
Many of them are buggy.LOL

Heads up alert!!!!

You can use the start button for file search but try "Everything"
YES that is the name of the software and it is lightning fast compared to windows search feature.Does not search inside the folders however.

The other software's all run like PDF searches in a sense as they highlight the keywords but do not narrow down the search and you need to hit enter or scroll to see multiple results.

Best one so far is Text filter. OK off subject.

Hey Dom,  Now I have the exact same result from the bottom editing buttons in the sketch window that David Anderson was referring to. I had been using 3.0, but I just upgraded to 3.0.1 and those buttons are now completely non-responsive like he described.

It doesn't have to do with the update. The bottom buttons just aren't grabbing all the time to start with. It's something I'll focus on after I get 3.0 out. I figured out how to resolve the 32/64 bit version issue I was having with some of the new features and am now working on reducing the file size of the 3.0 installer before I release 3.0.2 to you guys and the public 3.0 version.

I am doing a. Full report with sketch illustration. But my biggest issue is wishing to go full page each illustration and having to drag the darn thing out and have tod H. X. W on each one.
Can't we just have default for regular H. I.

I'll make that easier in the future. I could drop it into the sketch at it's native resolution or something along those lines.

That would be great if it could be done before the release.
IMO the big change here (3.0.1) is Bracket type marking for faster visual comment search and ability to add an illustration larger than "past" standard size.

The illustration "add" feature would be improved greatly if no fiddling around with curser dragging was necessary.

It won't be done before the 3.0.2 release. It's too big of a feature and I have too many other things to get resolved and working properly first.

Make another post would ya. Seeing you with 666 posts is disturbing!
