OK just started playing . First thing I do not like is the report settings opening every time I hit generate to create a PDF. Like finally being able to add a larger picture for illustrations. Testing on a small screen CTL GO right now and heading for a coffee shop so hope to find out how others are doing so far. Look for the image add at the lower left hand corner next to the text add icon which looks like as bold text icon at first glance. On a small tablet it was hard to find the icons and also I am having program freeze issues but will try and figure where they are occurring.

Bob, you can turn off the report settings feature under Report Settings->Option. I turned it on by default so people would know it's there (it's been requested quite a few times).
I don't think you're freezing, I think the dialog box is off the screen on the small tablet. I'll have to double check when I get home as my CTL2go is packed up for my trip to Atlanta tonight.

That report settings window is going to be a good trainer. A month ago I sent out three reports with no garage section because of my brain fart. That window would have stopped me from doing that. Can't wait to give 3.0 a complete run later tonight. Man Dom, this thing is packed with changes!

Thanks Cameron. There's quite a bit more that's done, or close to done that I'll put into 3.0. I want to fix the last few things I put into that email, have you guys test for a bit and roll it out to everyone else.

It's a way for me to put new tips on the page, get people interested on the forums plus let them know of upcoming events.
I might put a rotating ad at the bottom for any companies willing to give HIP users big discounts, but we'll see!

OK I had freeze issues on my laptop when in sketch after importing photos and on my netbook I am getting corrupt file messages still.
These are occurring when hitting the text options . The last time occurred when I went to regular photo edit after entering in a sketch edit and I got the corrupt message with me needing to hit ctrl shft esc to exit which of course lost all data.

What does the corrupt message say? I think you're trying to import an incompatible image. This is from clicking the little insert image button on the bottom left? Or are you clicking Import Sketch and selecting an image (which won't work).

I think I see. The insert image button is not filtering to just images by default. Click the File Type and select images. Then only insert jpg, png or gif. Other file types will not work.

Funny though, I tried invalid file types and I just get the dimensions but no image (as there is none). Let me know the exact error.

OK will do and yes I was hitting image in lower left corner then clicking to set a target curser which would expand the image from point when dragging on a diagonal.
Had a problem with adjusting size however as my curser always wants to add a second clone image or it pushes the corner up as if there needs to be a way to lift it over .
Is there a way to click in the middle and have multipe drag points perhaps ?
Again it freezes the program when attempting text edit 50% of the time.mostly when attempting color edit as the default is black.
Will give you the exact message if I can capture the screen later.Never saw that type message before .

File seems to be corrupt file cannot be opened is the exact message.
I can recreate the message fast by adding photo through sketch then clicking on regular photo edit after that. The result is freeze and message above.

Hi Mike,
Right now it's a closed beta for a few more days so I'm not publishing the link here. Once I get the kinks worked out I'll open it up to more inspectors to play with before the official release. I'll go ahead and send you the direct information via email.

Bob, the way to resize the text area is to right click and drag. Left click is for moving so I couldn't do that. I need to put some more work in to get the text box feature to have corners like the other shapes.

I really, really , really like being able to to put a narrative description in [[ ]] brackets. Even though my 2go stinks, I can use a smaller tablet on a job and not have to read an entire narrative to tell the subject.

I haven't had the opportunity to try the sketch feature yet. I opened it, but didn't try it. It looks like a help for bug inspections.

Great! That' what I like to hear. There's a few issues with the sketch pad I need to work out, mostly in relation to the insert image into sketch. I hope to get that done in the next few days before the Vegas conference.
