OK it worked. Now for the transfer.
I am not even sure why I am posting this process.

I did a test report and my greeting does not show up when I generate a report. I have it set show before the summary. Where is the hidden button to make it work?

Those are documents. Make sure to move your documents over in the Data\Documents folder.
HIP is identical on Windows and Mac. The only differences come from the actual OS like the File Browsers looking at little different.

OK the greeting does not show. My summary shows and the other documents shows, but not the greeting. I can see the greeting in the documents and i have set it to show before the summary; I even set it to show before other sections and I get nothing. I moved Client Data, Client Reports and Data folders only, because that is what is instructed. Do I need to move temp files or any other files?

I got it fixed. It was my signature image that was messing it up. The path was the old windows path, I had to use the MAC path. I have to say, it is not easy figuring out the paths in MAC.
I notice that the spacing on my documents in the MAC is different than on a PC when the report is generated to a PDF, but it looks ok inside the HIP program. It is like double spaced between paragraphs in the PDF. Why is that?

Take a look at the doc html view and make sure they look the same. There shouldn't be any difference between the two platforms.

They look the same to me. I think I am going to have to redo all my documents. They are all indented, which they weren't on the PC and double spaced paragraphs. I don't get it. I have been at it for 3 hours and I am quitting. I have an inspection in a few hours.

Hmmmm. The indention could be a separate issue having to do with the iText jar. What version do you have on there, 3.0.5?

Did you copy the Jars (/lib folder) from your Windows machine by any chance?

No I did not copy that. Should I have?
Update-there is a lib folder with files that have a .jar extension, but I did not copy it.

Ok, hmm. Try copying just the iText jar over from Windows and see if it works (just a test). I might have loaded the wrong one in the last mac version.

I am going to remove everything I transferred and reload it, including the iText jar. I see an itext-2.1.4.jar and itext-1.4.7.jar. Only those two need to be loaded?
