Try switching to another theme and see if it loads properly. I've never seen anyone having a problem, but I haven't seen a slideshow in that theme so that's probably it.

So there is no way to upload a pre-made slide show. I received a wonderful slide show I would like to put up.

Received in what format, a power point slide? Not through our system, you have to do one image at a time. You could try slide.com.

Dom, is there any way that I can not have the file name show up on this slideshow when viewing it on my site? I usually name my files by client, but don't want my clients' name all over the internet because of me. Or do I have to just change the name, because I can't hide it? I took the slideshow down for now, but I like how it looked, I just want to hide the name in the corener. Know what I mean?

You have to change the file names. Best to number them 001,002, etc so they appear in the order you want as well.

Yeah, I probably should have done that first. But, now I know, I think this slideshow is gonna be pretty sweet.

One more question, is there a way to present the slide show in a definite order, or is random the only option. I have my new build in a slideshow on the bottom of home page right now. I would like to make it play in order. Can I do that?

It it helps anyone, I have a slideshow of my photos from Photobucket (http://www.jaxhomespy.com/draw-inspection-slideshow-07-13-2008.html). It was easy.. Photobucket provides the info to post it. I created a page, clicked "Source", pasted the code, clicked "Source" again, and voila!

Ian- if it matters to you, right-click your PPT file. Click "Save as" and save to a new file name (001.PPT, for example). Then, you have the original file so you don't forget and you have a cleanly-named file to upload.

It plays in alphabetical or numerical order.

I tried to create a slideshow, and can't seem to get it to work.

Any hints?

Which site are you adding it to? Make sure you've uploaded all the images to the right folder (i.e. Slideshow1) then just enable the block under blocks and set it to appear on the page you want it to appear on.

Ok, I added two slideshows to my front page, and it works... almost.

The pictures I loaded into slideshow 2 are showing up in slideshow 1. I checked 5 times to make sure that they were in the correct folder, but it still shows up that way.

Slideshow 2, although the box with the progress bar shows up in the right spot, the progress bar keeps going, but not pictures load.

Oh, you can only have one slideshow going per page. This is due to a script variable collision. It also explains why your slideshow 2 pics are showing up in 1. Remove the 2nd slideshow and move it to another page.

When we choose the panel we want, I picked the 2 column stacked, we only have to do the Title page and URL and description just once right? Not for every image? What is CSS ID

If you choose to use a Panel (you can just use the slideshow block that's auto created instead), then yes, you only need the items you listed, and it's for the page not the slideshow so you only need it once. Ignore the CSS ID, you're not using it.

OK. I don't have to use a panel? What is the advantage of using one? What is the advantage of not using a panel?

A panel splits up the page nicely if you want different areas. You could use a normal page with a table instead, it's up to you.

OK I added a test slideshow to my home page. I think I need to resize the images. Now do I add text to them like I did for the inspection image gallery? That would help SEO, correct? If so, do I add it to the image or to the the stacked portion or the other pane?

I am using the double pane stacked thingy. I can add images to the other pane or to the stacked areas?

Also, I want to put the slideshow in the middle of my text. How do I do that? I want it on my home page right before this heading Allow Me Introduce You To Your House
