So do you not put comments on photos. I like to add the comments from the report on the photos with my homemade arrows. Takes time but looks good and is appreciated.

Hi. Joe. I use Dominics picture edit feature in HIP, quick, easy, and straight arrows, circles and whatnot.
Works good. But knowing how to do it on paint will come in handy outside reports on HIP.

This caveman learns something every week over here. Nice to have some helpful friends.

Joe, you should talk to Dom, I am sure he could work something out. The program would be easy for you too! You know more about computers than this caveman. I am still struggling with the darn thing even after 10 years in owning one.

Marcel, believe me I'm old school also when it comes to computers. My son did alot to help set up my HIP website and now I'm just learning as I go along.
I was just looking over the tutorials here and there doesn't seem to be tutorials for TREC (texas) reports, so that I can review it to learn. I know HIP would make things alot easier for me, with what I'm using now all my pics are added at the end. When I do reports I know it takes 2-3 times longer than it should, which would be a problem if I was busy.

So how long have you been using the HIP reporting and how long did it take you to feel comfy w/ it ?

2-3 years, but never used it the first year, and comfy, no, not yet, don't do enough inspections.
I probably only have 10 in the system so far. Working Commercial, I wasn't looking or marketing.
Now that I am laid off, don't have the money to market and the houses aren't selling.
Stuck between two rocks and a hard place.

Every time I use it though, I learn something, and this system can do so many things it is unreal.
When I do the report, I open two windows. One is for all the field pictures, and they are usually taken in the manner you want to do the report. Or you can adjust the report in the order you take the pictures.
I download all the pictures in Picasa, and with the open window to view the pictures, fill in the report.

When done, hit Batch Photos in the report, and it downloads 165 pictures in about 3 seconds. It shows them 4 at a time and that is where you can edit, add captions and tell it where to go in the report.

Not too savey with computers, that took me some time, but now it is easier.

The best thing of all, is the message board for HIP problems, Dominic is there 24/7 for god sake, I swear, and a whole bunch of guys to help you out.

Oh yeh, I know Billy and Bob from the Nachi MB. Billy is just coming back home from over there (thanx for serving). I see and enjoy his posts and Bob's all the time. You don't have to sell me on all the support here and from Dom. I'm a HIPpie. 
That's my deal also, I don't have that many Inspections. I've got other things going on but with my website from here being over 6 months now my SEO / page rankings are improving and hopefully along w/ mailouts (new home/ move in/ warranty) inspections things will pick up.
